Cryptocurrency exchange Kraken disclosed an extortion attempt by criminals who gained limited access to data affecting approximately 2,000 user accounts. The company stated no client funds are at risk, confirmed there was no system breach, and is cooperating with law enforcement while refusing to pay the extortion demand.
